Evam and O2 Health Studios present Summer Campus 2013, a series of workshops for children aged five to 15. The areas of focus range from theatre, writing and filmmaking to music, puppetry, drums, board games, storytelling and more.
Padmavathi Rao, Shaili Sathyu, Ape Factory and evam offer theatre workshops that use theatre exercises and games to explore self-expression and body language. Musicians such as Vedanth Bharadhwaj, Sudha Raja and Sailesh will introduce the participants to the concept of harmony and music.
Anupama Hoskere will take participants through the process of creating puppets, dressing them up, building characters, stories as well as playing with them. Temple Dance Company’s workshop will teach the kids contemporary moves and Murali Krishnan will introduce them to the world of beats and rhythm.
Shekinah Jacob will teach them the fundamentals of writing a good story while Mathangi Krishnamurthy’s workshops promise to bring back the joy of reading. Bambaram Toy Library will introduce the kids to card and board games, including designing and creating one. The arts and craft workshop by Jacob Jebaraj will help children paint their stories. There is also a ‘kitchen’ session at Sandy’s.
