Come March, it may not be just the heat that sizzles. Setting the mercury soaring will be the Salsa Rueda flashmob on Beach Road in Puducherry. Our coastal town, we hear, is one of the venues for the multi-city International Rueda Flashmob, where 40 countries from across the world will swing and sway at the same time, on the same day.
So if you want to spice up the streets on March 29, get yourself into the groove with salsa classes with Kash Timmers. Both experienced dancers and newcomers can learn the moves for the orchestrated dance. There will be two classes a week throughout March. Practice will be at SITA cultural centre, Candappa Moudaliar Road and Studio in VOC Nagar. There is no fixed fee but participants can donate towards the event.
