As you welcome the Tamil New Year this year, listen to popular numbers from the last few decades and go on a trip down melody lane. Nathella Jewellery presents The Hindu Rocking Tamizha , a concert powered by BBCL.

It features some of Kollywood’s popular singers who will give a rock-and-roll twist to famous songs. Singers and musicians Ranjith K.G., Rahul Nambiar, Shweta Mohan, Andrea Jeremiah and Velmurugan, and Ooru Band will present numbers such as ‘Idhayam Pesudey’, ‘Maro Maro’, ‘Para Para Pattaampoochi’ and ‘Doodi Pinjalaanti’.

From Ilaiyaraaja’s soothing tunes to A.R. Rahman’s peppy numbers, the evening promises to be a medley of everything nice.

The event will be held at Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall, Chetpet on April 13 from 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at Rs. 500, Rs. 250 (ground floor) and Rs. 100 (balcony).
