Take a nostalgic trip down the Promenade and marvel at over 40 vintage cars and motorcycles that are part of The Hindu’s Chennai-Pondy heritage car rally. The timeless beauties will make the journey from Chennai in the annual event, organised along with the Department of Tourism, Puducherry and the Madras Heritage Motoring Club. The men and the machines will return home on Sunday morning.

Bring out the kid in you or take a child along to catch a riot of masks, puppets and costumes in Jujubee, a Tanglish (mix of Tamil and English) play for children. Performed by Perch, a Chennai-based theatre troupe, the play is directed by Rajiv Krishnan. Tickets for the fundraising event to rebuild the theatre are priced at Rs. 100 and Rs. 200.
