Wild Wanderers, an adventure sports organisaton, is calling all young girls and women in Bangalore for a cycle rally to claim back their safe city, as a protest against the many incidents of assault on women.

Called “Her Breakfree Moment”, the cycling event will be held on August 30. Participants will assemble in front of Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park at 5.30 p.m. and cycle back to the spot covering a distance of 4.7 kms.

Men are invited to support the cause, and cheer and encourage along the route.

You can get your own cycles. But if you don’t have one, you need to contact 9740985632 in advance for cycles to be made available (there may be about 10 cycles to spare).

Cyclists will gather at the park near Bal Bhavan, at the end of the event, and light sky lanterns. There will also be a short talk.
