The Holi party recently organised by The Hindu at VGP Universal Kingdom drew enthusiastic crowds
People thronged the lawns of VGP Universal Kingdom to participate in the Holi party organised by The Hindu recently. The event sponsored by Jain Housing and Constructions was a riot of colour, music and fun. People started trickling in as early as 10 in the morning and as they started playing with colour, the spirit of the festival came alive.
The special rain-dance floor was the centre of attraction, spread across the lawns of the VGP resort on the ECR, where people partied with gusto. While DJ Akhtar and DJ Rudy belted out numbers that made for a fun day, the counters serving food and drinks were busy.
“My entire family is here today and Holi is the best festival. We always make it a point to come together and celebrate this special day. The event is a lot of fun, we love the rain dance floor, my cousins and I are having a blast,” gushed Tulika, a college student. From current Bollywood-favourites to Holi classics such as ‘Rang barse’, the DJs made sure that the tempo was maintained throughout. Emcee Usha kept the crowd's spirits high with various contests and the winners were gifted surprise coupons by sponsors. Party-goers feasted on a lovely lunch, after which they continued to participate in the activities till the evening.
