From garments and jewellery to kitchenware and paintings, there are many reasons why shopoholics will drop in at the Cinnamonn exhibition presented by Madhu Wadhwa and Shailaja Agarwal.

The Jamdani and matka silk saris in Bappaditya Biswas’ stall are heart stealers. Avirate’s party gowns are elegant. “We have used bright colours and loud floral prints as it is a spring-summer collection,” says Sayadhat Moor, the designer. The white tops, with frills and satin ribbons, priced at around Rs.1000, are pretty.

The exhibition has plenty for the younger shopper. Pakistani suits, tunics and stoles, all the way from Agra, are on display at the stall of Priyanka Sabarwal. Priced between Rs. 1, 500 and Rs. 3, 000, their borders are embellished with lace and colourful pompoms.

Feet first

The funky footwear, with hand-made flowers in georgettes and satin, at “Array footwear Coimbatore” will surely appeal to the teenagers. The stall also has formal footwear with Swarovski and semi-precious stones. And, if you want to complete the party look, drop in at the stall of Aparna Ravichandra. Her chic clutches, feature tatting and intricate thread work,.

“Oohs” and “aahs” fill the air as ladies throng outside the stall “Studio SRG” of designer Sumal Kamaliya. And how can you blame them? Starting at Rs. 1200, her silver jhumkas feature intricate minakari and kundan work.

But if you are in the mood for something more expensive, “Diamond mantra” should do the trick. The delicate neckpieces and bracelets, studded with rubies and sapphires, will look good with a sari as well as a party outfit.

Art appreciation

Spare some time to appreciate paintings that have come all the way from Kolkata and Rajasthan. The Emami Chisel Art showcases paintings and portraits of Hindu deities in acrylic and oil.

Kettles and bowls beautiful

If you want to revamp your kitchen with some new vessels, stop at “Blue Lotus”. They have beautiful ceramic crockery sets, chip-and-dip bowls, flasks and coffee mugs.

Finally, when you are through with all shopping, spare some time to relish the flavoured candies at “Kandee Factory”. These handmade sweets are sure to put a smile on your face!

The exhibition is on at The Residency today, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
