Mahindra 2 Wheelers has unveiled two bikes — Mojo and Stallio, its first motorcycles for the Indian market and also announced Aamir Khan as the brand ambassador for these bikes.
The Stallio comes with a four-stroke, single-cylinder and air-cooled 106.7cc engine that is mated to a four speed gearbox. The engine produces 7.3bhp at 7500rpm and peak torque is 0.8kgm at 5500rpm. It uses a combination of telescopic forks up front and adjustable shocks for the rear. Alloy wheels, an electric starter, a fully digital instrument console and LED tail lamps are features available on this bike.
The more powerful Mojo features a four-stroke, fuel-injected, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled 292cc powerplant making a meaty 25.8bhp at 8500rpm and max torque is 2.5kgm at 7000rpm. The larger bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels and uses inverted front telescopic forks and a monoshock rear suspension. Braking is courtesy a 320mm front and a 220mm rear petal disc. The Mojo also gets tubeless tyres, a digital speedometer, mirror-mounted indicators and a sporty dual exhaust system.
The Stallio will retail at Rs. 44,690 for top variant with alloys and digital console, while the base variant with spoke wheel and analog dials will cost Rs. 41,199. The official launch of the Mojo will be in the first half of 2011 and will cost Rs. 1.75lakh (all prices ex-showroom Pune).
