Of statues of Ganesha

Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Artisans Welfare Association (Srushti), organises “Ganesh Darshan - 2012”, an exhibition of Ganesha statues in various forms.

The artisans are from the rural areas of Tamil Nadu. The statues are created using the traditional lost wax process. On display are 108 Ganeshas in quartz crystal, statues in brass, black metal, Tiger Eye and wood. There are also Tanjore paintings, glass paintings and more.

The exhibition is on at Sudarsan Building, No. 86, Chamiers Road, Alwarpet.
