What did you have for dinner last night?

I had an Indian-inspired sous vide chicken with mint gel and saffron sauce.

What are you reading now?

My daughter’s story books!

What's your favourite recipe book?

The Classic Italian Cook Book by Marcella Hazan, because of the traditional approach to the cuisine and the freshness of presentation.

Next vacation? What do you plan to eat there?

I’m going to Italy, so I would really like to try the authentic Italian dishes and local food.

Best meal?

Any food cooked by my mother.

What about the worst?

I tried a meal at a local Chettinad restaurant once. It was overly spicy and hot, to the point where I could not eat anything for the next few days.

Places you eat at most often?

Ente Keralam.

Lessons learnt in the kitchen?

I have learned the importance of discipline in life, and not just in the kitchen.

Any secret junk food confession?

Chicken McGrill and fries.

Last meal on earth: What would you choose?

Fried chicken and beer.
