A small but growing number of canine spas in the city give the phrase ‘a dog's life' a whole new meaning. Sample this scene at Cho Chweet, a new grooming and health clinic for pets at T. Nagar.
A young adult Doberman Pinscher checks in, and is under the care of Gurbuxani, an acclaimed dog groomer, right away. After a bath, it moves on to the best part of the cleaning process — a spa tub. It leaves the place after an invigorating dip in the hot tub. If it had been registered for the complete package, it'd have received a slew of other treatments — for the nails, dentistry work, and skin care. If the dog had been in for a makeover, hair dye (available in many colours!) would have been used.
Cho Chweet, owned by C. Sudhakar, also offers pet products, including dresses, shoes, training pads, diapers, and grooming products such as tables, lotions, shears and trimmers. Sudhakar says grooming products for dogs are more expensive than those for humans.
