The director of the new Poltergeist movie has told how some feared the so-called Poltergeist curse had returned while filming the remake. Gil Kenan says a number of his colleagues reported strange goings-on while filming actors Sam Rockwell and Rosemary DeWitt.

“People from different departments would come up to me and say how these strange things had happened, like things not working — lighting or the drone we were using to film,” explains Gil, who admits he was aware of the four cast members who died shortly after the original 1982 Poltergeist . “I don't know, maybe this stuff happens on every set, but not every set is making Poltergeist ; so people just don't notice it.”
