A cricketer’s good fitness levels would naturally be attributed to the sport and various exercises he practices but Australian cricketer Brett Lee, cites his love for dogs as one of the reasons behind his good health. Also the brand ambassador of pet food brand world famous brand Pedigree, the bowleris in fact, also known as ‘Pet Lee’ for his love and affection for dogs. “Having a dog at your home can completely make you stress free, stave off loneliness and lend you social support,” says the famous cricketer. He recently launched Pedigree’s new range for senior dogs called Pedigree Senior.
Once considered one of the fastest bowlers, Lee, even after retirement from international cricket, does not miss out on his gym session in which cardio workout is integral. Excited about playing with the Sydney Sixers in Australia’s Big Bash League later this year Lee is preparing by following a proper fitness schedule. “My aim is to bowl over 150 km per hour for 20 over consecutively and that keeps me inspiring and going. But for that you need to be strong mentally and physically,” says Brett Lee adding that even injuries can be overcome and healed with a proper health regimen in place.
Espousing the cause of good health, he says, the youngsters who treat him as his idol should get inspired from his healthy habits and even net practices to become fit as well as a good cricketer.
