In this football season, here is your chance to get a larger than life experience, literally! Vishal Atreya, Executive Chef, The Imperial New Delhi, has put together a special one kg weighing football burger. The chef is serving his specially designed cheese and tenderloin burger with fries and house salad along with a combo of soft beverages/ beer at the 1911 Bar till July 13. The burger is suitable for four persons.

Football burger

Ingredients

For patti

1 kg ground tenderloin

100 gms animal fat

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 ground black pepper

50 ml tbsp olive oil

For garnish

100 gms tomatoes, slices

100 gms cucumber, slices

50 gms Romaine lettuce

400 gms sesame bun

On top

100 gms pickles

80 gms cheddar cheese slices

French fries

400 gms French fries, frozen

Method

For the patti, mix all the mentioned ingredients and mould into a 12-inch dia mould, give it a round shape. Grill the patty and place in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes at 140 degree centigrade.

Meanwhile, cut the sesame bun into two, toast and place the garnishes on top. Take out the patti from the oven and place cheese slice on top and let cheese melt. Place the cheese patti garnished bun and pickles on top.

Deep-fry the French fries in hot oil and serve with burger along with mustard and tomato sauce by side.

Vishal Atreya, Executive Chef, The Imperial New Delhi, comes with both national and international experience. Chef Vishal, an alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh, started his career with Taj Palace, New Delhi before joining P & O Princess Cruises, U.K. He also has the experience of working in the kitchens of Taj Lands End, Mumbai, Abbey Hotel, U.K. Ananda in The Himalayas, The Ritz carlton, Bangalore and Chengdu (China).
