Imagine wearing jewellery created by the same people whose creations have adorned stars in such movies as Devdas , Monsoon Wedding and Zubeidaa . Art Karat, which specialises in silver jewellery and kundan work, has had its bracelets, necklaces and earrings worn by some of the biggest names in Indian cinema.

They have now come out with their latest collection titled Paheli. The line of jewellery features armlets, anklets, necklaces and head ornaments among others inspired by traditional Rajasthani ornaments.

The historically rich area which was home to many princely states seems apt in inspiring the Paheli line.

Different types of workmanship such as kundan , meenakari and thewa which originated in Rajasthan have been given a contemporary twist to suit today's woman.

The range varies from the ornate to the delicate-Rich kundan which can be worn for weddings to elegant designs that can be worn for more casual occasions.

The range is priced between Rs. 2000 to Rs. 75,000 and features over 800 designs.

The collection is on display till September 19 between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. at Taj Deccan, road no. 1, Banjara Hills.
