I have oily skin. Suggest a suitable facial? — Uma
For oily skin, deep pore cleansing is recommended. After cleansing the skin, a scrub should be rubbed gently on the skin. This helps keep the pores free of oil. Apply a face mask three times a week. Mix 3 teaspoons of oatmeal with one teaspoon each of honey, curd and lemon juice, or egg white. Apply this on the entire face, avoiding the lips and the area around your eyes. Wash it off after half an hour. The skin should then be toned with chilled rose water to close the pores and make it glow. If the skin feels dry, mix one teaspoon of pure glycerine with 100 ml of rose water. Apply a little of this lotion and leave it on.

Mix one part of castor oil with two parts of coconut oil. Heat the mixture and apply it on your hair. Apply it on the ends too. Then dip a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the hot towel around your head like a turban. Keep it on for five minutes. Repeat the hot towel wrap 3 or 4 times. After washing the hair, massage a creamy conditioner, lightly into the hair. Leave it on for 2 minutes before rinsing it off. Also apply a leave-in conditioner or hair serum. Use hibiscus infusions to rinse the hair. Keep the flowers and leaves overnight in cold water in a ratio of 1:6. Squeeze out the water from the flowers and strain the liquid. Wash the hair and the scalp with it. The paste or the juice of the flowers can also be applied.

Suggest remedies for oily hair. My hair becomes oily, the very next day after I shampoo it. — Kriti
Wash your hair at least four days a week. Apply egg white on it, 20 minutes before a shampoo wash. It helps reduce oiliness. After a shampoo wash, add the juice of a lemon to a mug of water and use it as a last rinse. Soak mung dal overnight in water. The following morning, grind the dal into a paste and apply it on your hair like a pack. Wash it off after half an hour. Weekly henna treatments will also help. Add 4 teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, 2 raw eggs and enough tea water to the henna powder, mixing it into a thick paste. Apply the henna on your hair, washing it off after an hour. If you do not wish to use egg, add more tea water. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. Add the juice of a lemon to a glass of water and drink it first thing in the morning.
