Flush with the success of Thadayara Thaaka, filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni has begun work on his next project

Success brings joy to a determined individual. But more than that, it serves as a motivating factor. And buoyed by success, director Magizh Thirumeni is now busy with his next project after Thadayara Thaaka, which, trade sources say, is doing well at the box-office.

Says Magizh: “I am happy with the response to my film, starring Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas. I am working on the script of my next film which will be on a subject new to Tamil cinema.”

Magizh goes on to explain, “The film is about an undercover cop. It is a subject that's not been explored before and is inspired by real-life incidents. I am meeting professionals who are in the business in order to understand what they do. I am also doing research on the subject.”

Although the director refuses to disclose details of who will be playing the lead, he says, “At this point, I can only say I have approached big stars and will be able to announce their names at a later date. There will be two heroines and I am looking for someone with a pan-India appeal. I will, however, be retaining my technical team — most of those who worked on Thadayara Thaaka will work with me on my next film as well.”
