Looking for happy hours deal in your neighbourhood? Or maybe the best pubs for the crazy night out with friends? All you need to do is check that smartphone of yours. Happitoo, a new Android app, brings the best deals and information on the nightlife in your part of the town — a sort of Airbnb for those looking to have a fun evening out.

With listings from over 8,000 nightspots across 15 cities in the country, the app helps you explore the nightlife in your city. Launched in August the app is available for Android users and the makers say they are working to release an iOS version soon.

“We had launched the Happy Hours app in 2013 and very soon realised that there was a need to incorporate real time happy hours and other night outs since there was no other platform in the country offering one the scope to plan a night out easily with comprehensive information,” says Hemant Jain, the co-founder of Happitoo. “As it turns out, two of the largest drivers for a night out in town are the companion and the occasion. For instance, if one is treating friends then they one definitely looks for places with offers. If someone is taking their partner out then they look for a place with a romantic ambience and the works. Families prefer buffets and so on,” he adds.

Based on usage the app also recommends some of the best places to hang out in the city. “There’s also a feature called Make My Night which throws up two or three recommendations. Clicking on the recommendations takes one to the individual home pages with details on what those venues have to offer,” explains Hemant, adding, “The app also uses Push notifications to users interested in specific events as and when they take place. It basically is an end-to-end nightlife solution app.”

Since the app is all about partying and being in high spirits, it is integrated with Uber to facilitate easy rides home.

The app was the brainchild of Ravi Raj Meena, an IIT-Mumbai graduate, who collaborated with Hemant, who has over 20 years experience in various start ups, to develop the app. The duo conducted extensive research and say that the app is a reflection of what consumers told them they looked forward to. “We now have a team of 12 people working for the company which is based in Mumbai. We’re currently self-funded, but recently raised our first round of seed funding,” says Hemant.
