Ever since she made her debut in Malayalam cinema, it has been going great guns for actor Aishwarya Devan. Now, as her latest Tamil movie Anekan with Dhanush gears up for a release in Telugu as Anekudu , the actress is gung-ho. “The movie got great reviews in Tamil. I hope it garners the same kind of response from the Telugu audience,” she says excitedly.

With a love story as the backdrop, the movie starring Dhanush, Amyra Dastur, Karthik and Atul Kulkarni traverses between different periods of time and the actors too sport different getups accordingly. “My character, especially in the Burma period, shows me as a bold and mature person but with a little bit of naughtiness. I could relate to the character as I am a bold person in real life too,” she points out. For the Burma portion, a set was put up at the Film City so Aishwarya was in Hyderabad for a week to shoot.

“I would have loved to go around the city but the shooting schedule was so packed that I didn’t get time for sight seeing,” she says. Talking about her co-star Dhanush, she says, “He is such a humble guy with no starry tantrums. He is an experienced actor but didn’t show off and is very supportive,” she says.

Bengaluru-based Aishwarya’s entry into films was through Facebook in 2012.

A diet and fitness freak, Aishwarya loves to work out in the gymand is a diet and fitness freak. She is also a fashion bird and loves to step out in style. “I love fashion and makeup. I always wanted to get into modelling or fashion designing. If not for films, I would have been a model. If I have to dress up for an event, I like to browse through designers’ websites to see what is trending,” she smiles. “I like the way Sonam Kapoor dresses herself fashionably. I keep checking Instagram to see her photographs. I like Deepika Padukone and even Kareena Kapoor’s fashion approach. She doesn’t follow any trends and has her own style,” she says and adds, “I like Kajal Agarwal and admire her style of work in Telugu films.”

For now, Aishwarya hopes the Telugu audience will also sing YOLO when she lights up the screen with Dhanush in Anekudu .
