A week of finales

This Sunday, May 22, 2016 photo, shows salmon salad in a jar, left, next to the white bean salad and chopped greek salad on grilled bread in New York. This recipe spells out three different toppings, all vaguely Mediterranean: a white bean salad with fresh fennel thickened with mashed beans so that the filling sticks to the bread; smoked salmon rillettes, finely-chopped salmon flavored with capers, lemon and fresh herbs and bound with sour cream; and a chopped Greek salad. Ladies Room

“Two girls. Six loos. Infinite fun.” That’s what the trailer of this web series produced by Y Films (the “youth wing” of Yash Raj Films) promised. The show features Saba Azad and Shreya Dhanwanthary as Dingo and Khanna respectively, and is directed by Ashima Chibber. The season finale was released on July 5, and clocking at around 20 minutes per episode, it’s the kind of mini-binge that’s perfect for the weekend.

End of Watch – Stephen King

In the author’s 55th book, detective Bill Hodges makes a comeback to tackle the notorious Mr. Mercedes. The killer, whose real name is Brady Hartsfield, has been in a vegetative state and seems to have developed supernatural powers that allow him to control people. This has led to a spree of suicides, which Hodges must now solve.

‘Heathens’ – Twenty One Pilots

As fans wait for Suicide Squad , the first single from the movie’s soundtrack album has been released.

The alternative music duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots has created a haunting track that’s perfect for the anti-hero movie. Starting with the lyrics, “All my friends are heathens. Take it slow/Wait for them to ask you who you know/Please don’t make any sudden moves/You don’t know the half of the abuse”, the video features scenes from the movie.

It gives us a glimpse of what probably goes on in the minds of the inmates of Arkham Asylum.

Do

Picnic

July is Picnic Month, and with the mostly pleasant weather we’ve been having, it’s a good time to go on one. Pack some sandwiches, mix some iced tea, and head to the beach or park — don’t forget your sunscreen.

Laze around with a book, listen to music, people-watch, chat, throw around a frisbee… Have a relaxed time no matter what you choose to do.
