From the celestial Saptarishi to the saptak swaras of Indian music, the number 7 has long held an important place in Indian ethos. Inspired by the seven wows or saat pherasthe World Gold Council recently launched a new range of 22 carat gold wedding jewellery called “Azva”.
The Azva range is aimed at “modern Indian couples between the ages of 23-30” who appreciate the synchrony of traditional values with modern designs and craftsmanship values interpreted in gold.
Gracing the launch was Sonali Bendre along with husband Goldie Behl, where the duo reminisced on their journey in marriage.
Following in the line of a modern interpretation of the traditional vows in marriage, Goldie also took a vow at the occasion to “not ever say ‘I told you so’ again” to Sonali.
Decked up in pieces from the Azva range Sonali remarked, “The thing that I like most about Azva is that these are designs that will last. I love classic designs.”
The focus on 7 was prominent even in the pieces on display which featured layers, ornamental designs and elements like beads, flowers and teardrop components –all 7 in number.
The Azva range features pieces weighing 70-300 grams and will be available in select stores today onwards. In Delhi, Azva is available at Hazoorilal Jewellers, Bholasons Jewellers, PC Jewellers, Punjab Jewellers and Takshh Jewels.
