An overview of the ongoing Auto Expo: The Motor Show-2016 to know which cars are creating a buzz

Fun and excitement is here with Auto Expo: The Motor Show-2016 on till 9th February. At the India Expo Mart and Centre, Greater Noida, there is a beautiful display of some exotic cars, vintage cars, and the latest automobiles and bikes. And if that’s not what gets you excited then, it is your chance to meet some top celebrities. Drawing huge crowds was Anil Kapoor who recently turned up at the show. The actor was sporting enough to entertain visitors with his moves on some of the famous tunes.

With every auto manufacturer vying to promote its pavilion a lot of effort has been put in to make your visit pleasurable. In fact, such is the buzz that on the first day itself there were over 70,000 people.

Talking of the launches and showcases at different pavilions, it was Maruti Suzuki India Ltd which kick-started the event with the unveiling of Vitara Brezza. It also came out with its concept cars Ignis and Baleno RS. At the Hyundai pavilion the exhibits are Genesis car, the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo and Tucson.

To add to the excitement, Toyota Kirloskar India has put on display its Fuel Cell vehicle Mirai which claims of zero CO emissions. Also, there is Innova Crysta 2016 for the people. And, the Toyota Hybrid TS040. The launch of Toyota Prius, a hybrid car, marked the beginning of Toyota’s New Generation Architecture.

Among the people who showed great interest in the Expo were Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor who turned up in different pavilions and delighted the audiences with rare photo opportunities.

Further, Nissan India is exhibiting under its brand Datsun GO-Cross Concept and its legendary Datsun Bluebird 1600 SSS rally car. At the Honda Cars Pavilion, Honda BR-V made its first appearance. BR-V is a new generation Crossover Utility Vehicle with seven seats. Particularly interesting has been the launch of JEEP brand in India. The United States-based company with the unveiling of JEEP Wrangler and JEEP Grand Cherokee marked its entry into the Indian market.

In the two-wheeler segment, which is witnessing crowds in big numbers, there are Triumph Bonneville motorcycles, Indian Motorcycles, UM Motorcycles, and DSK Benelli bikes apart from the veteran players like Honda Motorcycles, Yamaha and Suzuki Motorcycles. While UM Motorcycles unveiled its Renegade range at the Expo, Triumph Motorcycles showcased its next generation Bonneville Street Twin, T120, and Thruxton R.

The Indian Motorcycles put on display its Chieftain and Indian Scout among others.

While most people at the Expo seem happy to strike a pose with bikes and cars there are some who come up with questions and try to learn more of what lies ahead.

Well, surely the Auto Expo 2016 offers visitors a rare opportunity to gain insight into the times to come in the auto industry.
