With her fit body and radiant skin, actor-producer Dia Mirza steals the show whether on celluloid or in events where she is the focus of attention. Blessed with an athletic body, Dia does not believe in sticking to gym. She likes sports and has been playing basketball and doing swimming since her school days.

Divulging her exercise schedule, Dia says, “I do a mixed training programme consisting of weight training, cross-trainer, yoga, along with functional training and cardiovascular exercise which usually depends on what goal I have in mind.”

Dia believes in developing strength from core which she gets through kick boxing. She mastered it a few years ago. While she is busy attending events or shooting outside, she makes sure to do a basic workout.

With no excessive concern about the food she eats, she prefers home cooked food and advises everybody to avoid crash diets.

“I have a fuss-free routine where I emphasise the nutrition factor in whatever I eat,” says the actor, while explaining her approach towards healthy eating. Her environmental friendliness and animal love makes her a natural and organic food lover. Her diet is mainly vegetarian but includes egg and small portions of non-vegetarian stuff to supplement protein intakes. “I try to avoid all types of packaged, processed, tinned food and always try including organic natural food which is easy to digest.”

Dia, who was in the Capital to attend a fund-raiser of Gensis Foundaiton which provides medical care to underprivileged children, revealed that eats at regular intervals and includes vegetables in her diet. “We tend to forget to get enough liquid intakes while we are outside busy in work, so I keep myself hydrated to keep my skin healthy,” says Dia. She tries being active by doing basic hands exercises, meditation to de-stress herself and drink plenty of water.
