In January this year, Hyderabad-based artist Manohar Chiluveru announced an art project ‘Possible Effects’ with a series of paintings, sketches, murals and prototypes of sculptures and installations exploring the difference between knowledge and ignorance.
The project, he said, would travel to different venues, from the Kochi Biennale to Barcelona and Florence in 2015 and 2016.
The artist recently unveiled a 12-feet sculpture showing a man walking with a spoon that has an egg placed on it, at Children’s Park, Fort Kochi. This sculpture is part of ‘egg and spoon’ series which will also have other sculptures, paintings, performance and site-specific installations. The ‘egg and spoon’ series is a throwback to childhood days. The sculpture will be on view at Children’s Park, Fort Kochi, till March 29, as part of the collateral segment and is sponsored by Telangana Tourism.
Possible Effects, on a larger spectrum, will focus on green and sustainable lifestyle and will feature in the 56th edition of Venice Biennale, as a part of the collateral event ‘Personal Structures’ in Palazzo Mora. In Venice, the artist will unveil a site-specific installation that will have life-size figurative sculptures, branches and other suspended objects.
