Tata Motors is planning to launch an updated version of its Sumo Grande in mid-December with cosmetic changes and better refinement. However, there will be no changes to the current 2.2-litre 118bhp, common-rail diesel engine.

According to company sources, the main objective with the new Sumo is to improve its fit and finish while lowering NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) in this people-carrier. While the dashboard remains the same, the Sumo now gets better seats and a new centre console.

Tata is expected to price this new version more aggressively compared to the current version.
