Tofu can’t be tough!

A whole bunch of ingredients come together in one simple process in this sweet-and-sour salad

Indulge in some fried silken tofu tossed in a Thai-flavoured sweet and sour sauce with basil leaves.

Warm Tofu in Nong dressing salad

Ingredients

Fresh red chilli – 25 gm

Chopped garlic – 75 gm

Chopped onion 75 gm

Light soya – 1 tablespoon

Dark soya - 1 tablespoon

Palm sugar - 1/2 tablespoon

Sweet sugar – 1.5 tablespoon

Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon

Vinegar - 1/2 tablespoon

Tomato ketchup - 1/2 tablespoon

Salt - 1/2 tablespoon

Tamarind juice - 1.5 tablespoon

Chilli flakes - 1/2 tablespoon

Tofu (cut into cubes) - 250 gm

Corn flour to dust

Method

Cut tofu into big cubes. Dust the cubes with corn flour and deep fry in a wok.

The fried tofu is then wok tossed with Nong sauce.

Use all the ingredients barring the tofu and corn flour.

Garnished the dish with fresh basil leaves.
