What did you have for dinner last night?

I had Linguine Bolognese cooked by my wife.

What are you reading now?

Medium Raw  by Anthony Bourdain. He describes it as “a bloody Valentine to the world of food and the people who cook”.

What's your favourite recipe book?

Perfection in Imperfection by Janice Wong, for the unique approach to plated desserts and the lateral thought put into them.

Next vacation? What do you plan to eat there?

Scandinavia is on the charts. I would try mostly the local cuisine and a meal at Noma, a two Michelin star restaurant run by Chef René Redzepi in Copenhagen, if I can manage to get a table!

Best meal?

One of the best meals I have ever had was in a small village in Tuscany, home-cooked by an old couple we were staying with.

What about the worst?

It was at one of the local Pan-Asian restaurants. The food was so bad and tasteless that I had to leave midway.

Places you eat at most often?

Benjarong and Nandos.

Lessons learnt in the kitchen?

I’ve learnt the ability to think straight and remain calm even in the toughest of situations.

Any secret junk food confessions?

I have a KFC Twister once in a while.

Last meal on earth: What would you choose?

It would be barbequed pork ribs and beer.
