For instance, for the Irani chai and samosa lovers there is the Milan Café at the beginning of the road, after you take a left from Agarwal’s Eye Hospital. For those looking for something more substantial but at slightly lower prices, there is Chopsticks just down the street. The eatery offers a range of Indianised Chinese dishes. For those who love Chinese food there is also Noodles King further up the road. The restaurant that has been dishing out Oriental food since 2008 offers prompt home delivery service apart from catering to a large number of office goers and families for lunch and dinner.
Come evening and a number of bajji stalls come alive all along the street, dishing out piping hot mirchi bajjis , punugulus and masala vadas . Chaat lovers can take their pick from one of the many Bihari and Bengali pani puri walas along the Srinagar Colony main road. The one next to M.K. General Stores though seems to see the maximum rush. But if you are looking for some bhelpuri and aloo tikki chaat as well then you could try Lakshmi Chaat Bandi that is attached to the Lakshmi stone craft store near the end of the street. The sandwiches, kathi rolls and puffs at Big Byte bakery are perfect for the times when you are feeling peckish and are not looking for anything elaborate. But if you are looking for something more, the bakery is famous for its burgers and pizzas as well. Priced well below Rs. 200, eating here won’t really burn a hole in your pocket.
If meeting a bunch of friends over a cup of coffee and some short eats is your kind of thing, then the Organic Coffee Shop opposite Indian Bank or the Cafe Coffee Day further up the road just beyond Sri Sathya Sai Nigamagamam could be your go-to place. Both the places serve a range of cappuccinos, espressos and cold coffees apart from comfortable seating for those long chats. The smaller non-descript Coffee House near Big Byte Bakery offers a variety of seasonal fresh fruit juices apart from chai and coffee. For those sweet and savouries cravings there is a Hot Chips shop next to Nikhil Hospital that sells freshly made potato wafers, Jackfruit chips, flavoured fryums, ariselu, bobbatlu and laddoos. If you’re looking for something more north Indian like samosas, kachoris and barfis then Minerva Sweets could be your destination.
If it is traditional Telugu food you are looking for there are a number of curry points like Meghana’s Spicy Foods and Curry Hub on the street that dish out everything from pulaos to pulusus and fries. For a proper family meal one could go to Vantakam that serves North Indian and Chinese apart from the more traditional Andhra dishes like natukodi and ulava charu .
