Relish some perfect dishes at Imperfecto in DLF Cyber Hub, Gurgaon, the restaurant’s second outing

There are a couple of restaurants in Delhi NCR which can be given a miss for their food but not for their ambience. One such restaurant which celebrates the beauty of imperfection with perfection is Imperfecto. They were super hit with their first outlet at Hauz Khas Village and probably egged on by the success the owners have expanded to DLF Cyber Hub Gurgaon with a bigger space and few innovative additions. Conceived and developed by the Spanish Chef Nuria Rodriguez this 200-cover restaurant with a wonderful terrace has a charm of its own. I visited the 10-day-old Imperfecto at DLF Cyber Hub and was not able to find a seat even on a weekday.

Offering Mediterranean cuisine Imperfecto has a long list to choose from. Surprisingly it had rained that day and the weather was good but I opted to start with a cold gazpacho andaluz. Soup was flavourful and had nice freshness of cucumber and aroma of olives. North African salad having a cous cous base was tasty where the African spices gave the chicken a nice flavour. The service at Imperfecto had scope of improvement as the starters took quite a while to arrive. Prawns in olives seemed bland and flavourless while the chicken roasted in wood oven had that earthy aroma but was chewy.

Grilled basa with mustard sauce, one of my favourites and the safest options to go with, was tasty and moist. The flavours were good but I was not able to get the kick of mustard in it. There lamb fatayer with hummus was crunchy and seemed quite close to mediterranean flavours.

Mocktails provided good company too. Their black diamond is worth a mention having a nice balance of flavours. Even the pizzas at Imperfecto were superb. I had chicken with barbecue sauce which was awesome. Such a perfect crust holding the flavourful toppings and mozzarella with ease! I am sure I will visit Imperfecto again for their pizzas. Herb crusted fillet of basa with dill and lemon was nicely done and had crunchy texture at the base which was yummy. A perfect option for a fish lover to order whenever at Imperfecto. I even loved the kind of relationship the patrons of Imperfecto share with Chef Nuria. Everybody is acquainted with the chef as she makes a point to personally take care of the preferences of the customers.
