Wonder what its like to have the typical Hyderabadi cuisine? Then step into ‘Aish', the new restaurant at The Park, where conversations over lunch will see time fly.

The intricate interior designs are bound to hold your attention. The restaurant which has been designed by fashion designer, ‘Tarun Tahilliani' speaks silently about the Nizam's lifestyle. Right from old photographs that adorn the restaurant's walls to the intricate silver cutlery and designs of the Nizam's jewels which are printed on the plates, Aish gives away a gist of the Nizam's exquisite tastes.

“The restaurant serves Hyderabadi and Andhra cuisine with influences from Persian and Iranian food. We have done a lot of research before finalising the menu ,” said Rakesh Sethi, Director (Food and Bevrage), The Park, during an informal launch on Wednesday.

The restaurant also serves some of the distinct non-alcoholic drinks such as ‘Amrudh', which is a mix of fruit juices with paan, ‘Oodh ka sherbat', that is made from incense smoked spring water with dry fruits, ‘Daania' and the famous ‘Suleimani Chai'. Some of the rare dishes that the restaurant serves include ‘Sufiani Biryani' and ‘Ghost ka Marag'.

“We also serve Haleem and ‘Patte Ki Machchi' which are the local delicacies. Aish is the first upscale restaurant in the city which strictly serves Hyderabadi and Andhra food,” Mr. Sethi added.
