Appearances can be deceptive. Though Lounge 9 wasn't very welcoming and interesting from the outside, the interiors are nice and chic. Comfortable couches, dim lights, LCD screens, projectors, DJ arena all give the place a peppy look.

Personal space

They also have a number of private rooms, each designed in an interesting theme like Pot room, Wood room, Stone room. We sat in the “grey room”.

Lounge 9 not only offers a place to roost but also offers good, tasty food at reasonable prices. Unlike other places where “cheese jalapenos” are cheesy enough to stick to your throat, the ones offered here are out of the world (one can actually taste the jalapenos). A highly recommended dish is the “Quesadilla lequmbers” made of stuffed cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and sour cream. Yummy!

Non-vegetarian must-try's are grilled chicken and Penne Alla Romana (penne tossed in cream sauce with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and basil); a foodie's delight. To quench your thirst comes Cranberry energiser, a mix of oranges, raspberries and cranberries and crushed ice.

It won't be long before Lounge 9 is on a par with places like Elements and Mocha.
