Milk is always referred to as a complete and natural food. Being the most nourishing of all foods, milk is a favourite drink of people throughout the world. Milk is an excellent source of all nutrients which are in proper proportions and work as a team to keep the body healthy and strong.

Vitamin rich

Milk provides high quality protein, vitamins like A, B12, D, Riboflavin, and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, zinc and magnesium. Casein is an important protein that is found only in milk.

Whole milk cream and yogurt contain saturated fat and are good for health. Milk can be consumed in different forms – yogurt, cheese, buttermilk, ice-creams, etc.

Milk is available in different forms such as regular whole milk, low fat, skimmed milk, cultured buttermilk, cream, sour cream etc.

The main drawback of milk is that it can cause indigestion in people with lactose intolerance. Milk protein casein may trigger allergic reactions like nasal and sinus congestion especially in children.

Low fat milk and milk products are low in cholesterol and high in protein. Those who are health conscious can drink low fat yogurt or skimmed milk for a powerful nutritional punch.
