It was on a flight from Dubai to their hometown that the idea to go into business was born. The discussions between Micheal Saldanha and Carl Correa led to bakery/dessert shop, ‘Crave’. Located in Balmatta, Crave is an epitome of a modern style bakery wrapped in warmth, in a space that smells like coffee and tastes like chocolate.

The interiors – done by illustrator Kevin Crasta – also encompass these two vices with graffiti on the wall; and this has become a talking point among customers. “The uniqueness of Crave is enhanced by its ambience and location ,” says Carl.

The inimitable desserts and other goodies, baked by chefs Ravi Kulaal and Kiran Poojary, have already garnered a fan following.

Their chocolate-filled caramel donuts, caramel-filled chocolate donuts and custard filled sugar donuts cushion a delicate mixture of flavours that melts soon after it is consumed; while, the Nutella milkshake has a generous portion of Nutella chocolate cream and is a splendid delight for numerous chocolate lovers.

Pannacota serves up a taste of Italy, with gelatinous cream blended with a mouth-watering coulis. For those looking for something out of the ordinary, there is the baked yoghurt, which is a mix of yoghurt, condensed milk and cream blended with flavoured puree.

The baked cheese cake has a crumbly graham cracker crust filled with rich and creamy cheese; while the chocolate fantasy cake comes with the punch of chocolate sauce and a rich layer of icing.

“I could not be more satisfied by the immediate success brought by Crave. Customers always look forward to their visit and strongly support this enterprise”, added Micheal.
