Khushwant Singh was one of the greatest people I’ve had the privilege to know. When they made him, they broke the mould and I am sure I will never meet his like again. His achievements were off the charts; he came from one of Delhi’s elite families; he was courted by the rich and famous but none of these affected him in the slightest. He was humble, accessible, generous and told the truth as he knew it without fear or favour. That was the greatness of the man and he will be sorely missed.

A very fine tribute to one of the greatest Indian writers in English
late Khushwant Singh. My memory goes back to the days when i was very
fond of reading the Illustrated Weekly of India. Writers must believe in
what they say or write. In short they must have conviction.Mr. Singh had
that.
