This vacation, your child will have a chance to learn a little about wildlife and understand animals a bit more in their natural environment. Kids will go through a series of activities that will delve on aspects of nature, natural habitat, and wildlife and understand the need to save them. They will be doing short walks to look for wildlife in the forest and also a night walk looking for nocturnal life.
Location: Bannerghatta farm is a great place created for nature and wildlife loving people at the fringes of the Bangalore city. It is located just 35 km from Bangalore, on the edge of the Bannerghatta National Park. Aside from adding valuable land space to the National Park, the farm has also succeeded in becoming a safe haven for all kinds of wildlife, from hare to elephants.
Activities: Trekking, Bird watching, Tree Climbing, Building and setting up bird boxes, Wildlife Tracking. The adult to child ratio will be 1:5, ensuring that the children are always watched over and the programme works well for them. There will be at least one female faculty member. There will be one certified and trained wilderness medic through the entire programme. The faculty will consist of Kaushik (Founder, Wishbone), Phillip Ross (Wildlife Photographer) and Gregory Barreto (Herpetologist and Wildlife photographer).
