Konkana Sen Sharma isn’t the kind of actor who crosses her fingers before the release of her next film. “I’m too lazy at times,” reveals the actor, whose next film, “Wake up Sid” is something that she is looking forward to.

And as Sharma puts it, “It’s a film that defines relationships differently. An older woman in a relationship with a younger guy.” Is it something that our society is ready for?

“Look around you,” protests she, “we are willing to see an older man in a relationship with a much younger woman and I think the opposite can work too. One cannot generalise human relationships. I agree it’s something that hasn’t been dealt with in Hindi films but this is a coming-of-age film and I think it will work.” Sharma adds that she identifies strongly with the laziness of her character in the film.

“There are days when I just don’t feel like working and you know I am not a particularly ambitious person, sometimes I don’t want to lift a finger so I can empathise with the laziness of the character.”

When asked if she could get into a relationship with a younger man, Sharma replied, “I think younger men are intimidated by me, because I look so serious. I think they find me rather scary,” laughs she.
