As in the previous editions, there will be no entry fee or entry form for participation.

The topics for the preliminary round for the junior category are: ‘A busy road,' ‘A day at the beach or zoo,' ‘Reading is my hobby,' and ‘Your school playground.' For seniors, the topics are: ‘Pop music concert,' ‘A walk by the sea,' ‘Your classroom' and ‘Tree planting ceremony.'

Entries will be accepted at The Hindu offices in the 15 competition centres. The entries for the preliminary round should reach the centres by November 20. Participants selected for the finals will be sent letters with details of the venue and time. MIOT Hospitals (CHIME) is the title sponsor for the competition.
