Where is equality?

May 17, 2010 07:21 pm | Updated November 11, 2016 05:58 am IST

We often use the proverb “Give respect and take respect.” Are we really practising this? Our answers would be “No”. In olden times, our society was not well developed in the field of technology and there were few literate in India. But then, India was known for her culture.

In modern times, men are running behind money. We live in a country where the rich dominate. Even though equality is our fundamental right, it is not practised. People have become proud and selfish.

As the future citizens of the country, its our responsibility to build a country whose citizens have equal social facilities. We must be sensitive to the poverty around us. So it's our responsibility to support the poor with our little hands.
