What’s with the poodle

Mrs. Fudge and the people of Crumbly-under-edge live a good life. Or rather, they did, until Trinity Meddler came to town.

People getting pampered at beauty salons is passé. Now a salon just for pets, something else. A place for dogs and cats, hamsters and rabbits to relax, be indulged and cuddled! In the small, picturesque village of Crumbly-under-edge, a salon such as this does exist. And you can visit it when you read Anna Wilson’s book – The Poodle Problem.

Mrs Fudge is a dear old lady who runs a ladies hairdressing salon in her large, empty home. She hires Pippa, a confident young girl aged, not just ten, but ten-and-a-quarter, to assist her and serve her customers and their pets with some of her delicious freshly-baked goodies. Some customers are friendly, some are full of gossip and some are downright rude. But Mrs Fudge manages them all, always with a smile. The same can’t be said for Pippa, however!

Everything is going well until a newcomer hits the town. With her vicious poodle, Trinity Meddler sets up her own beauty parlour, and true to her name, starts meddling in everybody’s lives. Poor Mrs Fudge loses all her customers overnight and is about ready to give up when a hero walks in to save the day!

Well... he doesn’t really walk in, he whimpers miserably in the rain. And he doesn’t save the day either… at least not by himself. But if Pippa is the little heroine in this story, Dash is surely the hero! They help convert Mrs Fudge’s salon into a pooch pampering heaven.

But Trinity’s meddling is still not over. Will they be able to rid the village of the Poodle menace?

Read the book to find out how this story ends… but don’t worry, it’s not The End. There will be many more adventures of Pippa, Dash and the Pooch Parlour coming soon! Anna Wilson has won pre-teenage hearts all over the world with her charming books. All her characters, be it the puppy Honey or the kitten Kaboodle have had many exciting adventures over the years.

The Poodle Problem is the first in her latest series. The next, The Dotty Dalmatian is to be released later this year. So lots of thrilling canine exploits to look forward to!
