A day full of fun
Began while playing with a water gun
My friends, cousins and me
Stood under a tree
And fired our guns at each other
In the warm sunny weather
All drenched in water
Then arrived my uncle’s daughter
We attacked her in a trice
And she squeaked like a mouse
She complained to our mums
Which made our dinner bread crumbs
For all this we had to pay
As we were down with fever the next day
All tucked in bed
So ill that we couldn’t lift our head
We thought we’d make a bargain
To have our water guns back again
But mum seized the sack
Never to give our water guns back.
