Taking a stand

October 21, 2013 03:57 pm | Updated 03:57 pm IST

I am against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. I wonder how the Cabinet had taken such an adverse decision with which the people do not agree. According to revenue statistics, majority of Telengana’s revenue comes from Hyderabad whereas Seemandhra’s revenue is comparatively less. How can Seemandhra progress then? Unemployment and debt is on the rise, there is power and water problems and scholarships and welfare programmes will no longer be available. This stir will continue till both parties’ demands are justified. The Cabinet must withdraw the decision to bifurcate the State like it did with the Ordinance on criminals.
