Snowy summer

July 02, 2013 07:13 pm | Updated 07:13 pm IST

This summer vacation, we went to Srinagar. On the first day, we enjoyed a shikara ride in the beautiful Dal Lake. We visited Gulmarg, fully covered with ice, on the second day. We played in the snow and went ice skating. We even got to enjoy the snowfall.

We went to Pehalgam on the third day. On the way we bought many cricket bats as Pehalgam is famous for its cricket bats. River rafting in the Jhelum was also an enthralling experience. We also saw the Avanthipur ruins of Lord Shiva and Vishnu.

On the fourth day, we went to Adhi Sankaracharya Temple. From the top, we took in the mesmerising view of Srinagar. We also saw many beautiful flowers in the Mughal Gardens.

We went for shopping that day and returned home with such great memories.
