A science exhibition organised by students of Siddhartha Buds and Blossoms at Seetarampuram was a major draw.

Students worked on models depicting concepts like road safety and unity in diversity besides creating impressive images of Nagarjun Sagar dam, Prakasam Barrage and Kanaka Durga temple.

Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, who inaugurated the exhibition, said children must evince interest in practical knowledge which was important for their all-round development.

MLC Chigurupati Varaprasad urged students to take part in such co-curricular activities to hone their skills in various other fields.

VPS Public School emerged winners of the Coca Cola Trophy 2011-12 in the decisive match held at Mangalagiri, defeating Bhaskar Talent School, Kakinada by five wickets in the ACA-Inter Zonal Cricket Tournament.

VPS Public School defeated the Central and South Zone teams from Anantapur, Tirupati, Vizag and Kakinada in the league matches and finally qualified to play in the matches to be held at Delhi in April.

Students of Little Flower English Medium High School at Mudinepalli in Krishna district won two gold, four silver and a bronze medal in IX State-level kung-fu-karate championship held in Vijayawada recently.

Kanajam Thejaswini and Ambula Surya Sampath won gold medals while Tanguturi Prasanth, I. Harshavardhan, B. Sasidhar and K. Jagadeesh won silver medals and U. Nanda Kishore won a bronze medal.

Principal B. Raghuramaiah complimented the winners and their trainer Lalitha.
