Vinod Reddy and P. Vamshi Gandhi, students of Std. X in Teja Talent School, Kodad, bagged the winners title in the final round of “Brilliant Minds' quiz, conducted by Sri Gayathri Academy. The preliminary round of the quiz attracted participation of nearly 17,000 students from across Andhra Pradesh. Two hundred and fifty of them made it to the quarter-finals and 50 reached the semi-final stage. Of them 10 best were selected to participate in the final round of the battle of brains. The winners were given a cash prize of Rs. five lakh, two LCD television sets, two cell phones and other prizes.

St. Paul's English School, J. P. Nagar began their Christmas celebrations with a skit “Promises are meant to be kept”. Students spoke about the importance of the festival. There were competitions such as carol singing and Christmas decoration among the four houses. Topaz House won the first prize in both carol singing and in the Christmas decoration.
