St. Kabir's School, Hisar, Haryana celebrated Mentor's Day recently. ‘Sufi Sangeet' was organised and students did a ‘Kathak performance'. The Mentor's Day is celebrated on the birthday of U.Singh, the founder of St.Kabir's and Siddharth International School.
In the Talent Search Colouring competition, 2010 organised by Avantika Art Organisation, Delhi, Shyani Mukherjee, Lavi Sharma, Aayush Purohit and Ajay Singh Shekhawat were awarded Gold Medals for their commendable performance. Director Mr. P.D.Singh felicitated the young artists .
The students of Abhinav Public School, Pritampura, organised week long activities with the objective to encourage participation of students, teachers and parents in the CWG 2010 . The school was appointed as the coordinator for District North West –B in the programme “Shera Mera Dost- My Friend Shera” . A number of competitions were organised with events like mask-making, poster-making, rangoli, tattoo and painting competitions and tree plantations. The activities were conducted under the guidance of Director Ms. Satyabhama. Principal Saroj Bansal complimented the students for their participation and congratulated the winners. Chairman Mr. K.K. Bansal was also present.
Many schools in Delhi have announced dates in October for nursery admissions 2010-2011. A majority of these schools are looking to finish the process early to avoid rush at the later stage. The schools with the early dates include Presidium school, Pitampura and Dwarka, Delhi and Sant Nirankari Public School, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. Some more Delhi schools are about to announce their dates and a more comprehensive schedule of dates should be made available before Diwali .
Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, honoured the meritorious students of stds IX, X and XI for the academic year 2009- 10. Students were awarded prizes for excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, and sports. The chief guest for the event was Shri Kapil Sibal, Minster of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Ashok Chandra, Chairman DPS Society, presided over the function. The event began with a fabulous Manipuri dance performance. This was followed by the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony. Around 300 students were awarded certificates. As part of the recently introduced merit-cum-scholarship scheme, top three students of every class (from std. III onwards) were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-, Rs. 15,000/- and Rs 10,000/- each respectively. Cash prizes in sports category were also given to students who excelled in the sports field.
