International Women's Day was celebrated at SBOA Matriculation and HSS recently. The chief guest was Dr.Rekha Shetty, Managing Director of Farstar Distribution Network. Poems extolling the virtues of women were read out by Mrs. Mahalakshmi ( Dept. of English) and Mr. Sunderraraman ( Dept.of Tamil). A vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Hema of the French Dept.

Robo Olympics 2012, an Inter school Robotic Competition organised by Tech Knowledge Education, was held recently in the city to hunt for Techno brains in schools. It was to test the expertise in designing robots to play Soccer, Sumo wrestling using Lego Robotic Kits. More than 260 students from 20 schools participated in this event and participants from Chennai Public School brought laurels to the school by bagging the maximum prizes.

PSBB, Siruseri, students from pre KG to Std V did a project on Prithvi Rakshati Rakshata – Earth protects those who protect it”. Students displayed their skills and exhibited interesting models and charts. Pollution, revolution, natural beauty and Jammu and Kashmir and saving nature for the future were some of the topics.
