Save our rivers

April 01, 2013 08:20 pm | Updated 08:20 pm IST

The Ganga is both a goddess and a river. Sitting on the banks of the Ganga is in itself an uplifting experience.

A number of poets have composed beautiful verses in praise of the Ganga.

Our great rivers are dying! It is our responsibility to save them.

If we do not succeed in saving these water bodies, we are risking the right of the future generations to a healthyenvironment.

Now it depends on us how we take it. Water is a precious resource.

Factory waste, chemicals and urban waste are dumped in rivers. Rivers are being polluted every day.

So save water, save the Ganga.
