The temperature of earth's atmosphere is gradually increasing. This is called global warming. This can result in changing climate, which can decrease the huge population. Massive droughts and floods are likely to occur due to change in climate. Agriculture can be severely affected. Global warming is caused due to the increase in the amount of greenhouse gases like methane, nitrous oxide, water vapour and carbon dioxide. Polar ice caps are melting due to rise in global temperatures. Due to climate change there can be slight changes in rain is rainfall can decrease or increase. When agriculture is affected, the soil can loose its fertility and it may lead to a condition where nothing can be grown.

Deforestation, burning of fuels, like petrol and coal, fumes discharged from factories and industries are the main cause of increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Global warming can also cause depletion of ground water levels; this can lead to shortage of water and even wars between countries for water. Animals are likely to lose their habitat. This can even lead to extinction of animals.

We should start conserving earth from today. Reforestation or afforestation should be promoted vehicles must use compressed natural gas (CNG) instead of petrol or diesel, public transportation must be encouraged. The earth is ours. We must save it. “Save earth from global warming, save yourself.”
