Remember our earth

April 28, 2014 04:30 pm | Updated May 23, 2016 07:39 pm IST

The earth gave us life, so now it is our turn to reciprocate. Our blue planet is a magnificent place, but now it is in trouble. Nature is under attack and if we don’t take steps now, there might not be much of a world left to pass on to the future generations.

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22. Many events are held around the world to spread awareness on protecting the environment.

The main objective and reason to celebrate this day is to raise awareness about earth’s deteriorating condition and encourage people to reduce, reuse and recycle. We must make the planet a better place for the present generations as well as the future ones.

This day should remind us of our duties toward a better place for us to live.

“Protect the earth thinking it is mine,

Keep the earth clean and green,

And it will shine.”
