They have been here for two years and they were back again this year on Phase III with much more to offer. A train stationed on Platform No. 11 in Chennai Central saw almost 70,000 visitors in two days.
The exhibition on the Red Ribbon Express tells you about HIV and AIDS, malaria, TB, family planning and health in general. Six coaches were dedicated to this cause, and the first four had displays and telephones to ask questions, 3D and digital visuals and more. The fifth coach was dedicated to training and the sixth for counselling. This is organised by National AIDS Control Organisation, National Rural Health Mission and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
Seventy five stalls were set up, with puppet shows, displays, sales and three stalls handled by transgenders. There was singing, dancing and acting being brought in through competitions, making the train and its surrounding a hub of knowledge.
